I purchased this to use as a mounting for a 'grab-n-go' telescope (a William optics FLT98 Carbon Fibre). I was looking for something light weight, but still strong & secure. The Kessler LONG camera play is much lighter than the standard telescope mounting products & feel solid enough for the job too. It is also compatible with my existing Really Right Stuff clamps too (I've tried them & they work perfectly well together). A really great, light weight plate solution with plenty on mounting positions. Perfect for my needs!

Overall
I ended up returning this plate as it kept unscrewing from the bottom of my rig when I would pan. Never happened with my Manfrotto 504PLONG (1/4"-20) plate. I was really bummed about this as I really like Kessler's Kwik release system, and bought three of them, with a fourth coming soon.
