SKU: VEN-RamperPro

Availability: Backordered

The RamperPro is the most advanced timelapse controller in the world. It is the first controller that supports exposure (bulb) ramping with Nikon camera's (and Canon). The controller features USB control for both Nikon and Canon camera's. It can interface with all current motion control hardware and it has an intuitive touch screen interface. The RamperPro can control two camera's at the same time and it can be interfaced with two motion control rigs at the same time. You can even create advanced stereoscopic exposure ramping sequences because the controller can synchronize two camera's.

You are not limited to bulb mode only, like all other bulb ramping solutions, when you are making an exposure ramping timelapse. The RamperPro can easily cover 20 stops during a sunset shoot because the controller can automatically use all shutter speeds of your camera and because it can automatically shift the ISO value of your camera. This really gives you the ability to create a time lapse from broad day light to stars.

The RamperPro Professional Kit is provided with an advanced external digital light sensor that you can place on the hot shoe of your camera. This sensor can measure the trend in ambient light. This results in fully automatic exposure ramping sequences; it has never been so easy to create a time lapse of  a sun rise or a sun set.

The RamperPro3 now offers WiFi and Bluetooth support

The best ramping solution on the market just got even better. We have changed the way how you can setup your shoot. No difficult setup, just setup the start exposure of your shoot and the interval. The new ramping software can now evaluate the overall brightness into account. This makes sure that you can a very smoot video without any fluctuations in the exposure.

App support for the RamperPro

The new WiFi capabilities make it possible to connect your smartphone, tablet and laptop to your RamperPro. You can review the progress of your shoot and the images that are shot at full resolution. This also makes it possible to keep an eye on your RamperPro from a distance or from your warm car.

Intuitive touch screen interface

The user interface of the RamperPro consists of a 2.8" touch screen. The highly intuitive interface consists of icons that make navigating through the various screens easy. Settings can be entered by sliders or an on-screen numeric keypad.

Control two camera's at the same time

You can fully control two cameras at the same time with the RamperPro. This can even be different models or even different brands. You can choose to shoot each camera with different settings or you can tie them together for 3D mode. Both cameras will be synched exactly with each other when you tie them.

Different time lapse engines

You choose two different time lapse engines. The basic engine is a standard intervalometer, the advanced engine gives you exposure ramping. Both engines offer interval ramping. That means that you can make the interval shorter or longer during a number of shots. Interval ramping is triggered by a key frame in basic mode and by an exposure speed in ramping mode.

Full automatic mode with an advanced external digital light sensor

A sunset is far from linear. Ambient light can easily decline at 15 minutes per stop before sunset, this can be only a few minutes after sunset. This can be seen in many ramping shoots where it gets too dark too soon and where the scene gets lighter in the end. That is the result when you use a fixed ramping speed. You can either use a fixed ramping speed with the RamperPro or you can use an advanced digital light sensor that measures the decline in ambient light. These readings are then used by the ramping engine. This gives you a fully automatic mode that most often gives you the best result. The light sensor measures the decline in light in minutes per stop. There are settings available to compensate for measurement errors and be be just on the safe side.

On screen preview mode

Many camera's, like Nikon camera's block their playback mode when a USB cable is connected. This is why the RamperPro can be used to preview and assess images when you setup a time lapse sequence. Just press the touch screen of the RamperPro and a preview image is taken by the camera. This image and it's histogram are then shown on the screen of the RamperPro. This preview screen can also be used to adjust the start shutter speed of your time lapse sequence. This ensures that the correct exposure is used when you start a time lapse (ramping) sequence with the RamperPro.

Full integration with Kessler Second Shooter®

The RamperPro can now be connected to the Kessler Second Shooter® controller via USB. That means that these two devices can now perfectly synchronize with each other. The RamperPro will control the camera. The Second Shooter® controller will control your move.

How to power the RamperPro

There is no AC power supply or built-in battery inside the RamperPro. We made this choice because we want to be able to have very long operating times and therefore need verious power sources. Future firmware updates will add features that make it possible to have very long run times. There are two ways that you can use to power your RamperPro:

  • Use a "USB" battery with a 5V output. There is a mini USB connection at the back of the RamperPro that  you can use to power the unit. This USB port is not a "real" USB port; it is only there to power the RamperPro from a steady 5V power supply.
  • You can connect any 12V power source to the side of the RamperPro. The RamperPro has a highly efficient power circuit that can handle input voltages up to 24V. The built-in voltage meter of the RamperPro will give you feedback about how much juice you have left.
